Spoiler alert: we’re talking about last week’s Game of Thrones episode today.

Small scene that doesn’t have much bearing on the rest of the series though.

I only mention it because it was promoted quite a bit after the episode premiered… with a lot of “you go girl, slayyyy” rhetoric around it.

The gist:

Cersei, who has been abandoned by her beloved brother-lover Jamie, is all alone in Kings Landing… with the exception of Euron Greyjoy, the wild, renegade leader of the Iron Islands.

Euron has been pursuing Cersei for awhile now. He controls a powerful fleet, and recently brought her not only two of her enemies… but a whole mercenary army from across the narrow sea.

Euron makes some aggressive statements about how it’s basically time for Cersei to fuck him.

Cersei puts him off, telling Euron she will only get him after the war is won.

Euron doesn’t like this. He’s now done two big favors for her, and demands that she sleep with him.

To which Cersei retorts the subject line.

Badass, right?

Cersei’s the queen… nobody can tell her what she has to do, or who she has to sleep with.

You gotta WORK for a queen, you can’t just do things for her and think she’s yours.

Respect them wamens.

Which is why, of course, this silly little scene was promoted as the catchphrase for the week.

Girl power.

The only problem?

Right after Cersei says this, she takes Euron back and fucks him.

Which I though was just so perfect… since it perfectly mirrors your average girl today.

A lot of attitude and demands for respect.

“I’m an independent woman, I’m not just going to sleep with you”

Followed by zero actual boundaries and them sleeping with you.

It’s a powerful lesson about female psychology.

When insecure women “test” you, it’s almost always just talk.

Euron is a cocky bastard, and though Cersei doesn’t really like him, she’s lonely and he makes her at least feel something.

She’s lost everyone in the world important to her… and unconsciously she knows her wickedness is responsible for it.

Underneath her harsh veneer, she’s weak and fragile, and self-loathing.

So she knows she can’t really resist Euron, because she doesn’t have the leverage or the deservedness. And while some of her sleeping with him is undoubtably based on this political reality… underneath it all, it’s a form of escape.

She knows Euron is a fuckboy, but she’s degenerated enough already… sleeping with him is just the next natural step in her decline.

And it’s an overcompensation most modern women also engage in today.

Which is why, of course, they promoted it so much. It feeds the self-protective ego of women who engage in ritual self-absue each weekend, hooking up with people they don’t really care about.

Cersei is a metaphor for the ego of the modern woman.

Bitter, lonely, self-destructive… holding on only through the belief that she’s a powerful queen, and that her actions are empowering… ignoring what they really are: degrading.

So.

What to do?

Well, simple.

Unless you’re looking for cheap, meaningless sex… avoid these women.

Because they not only lack respect for themselves, but they’re not honest, and are guaranteed to betray you.

They do not love themselves, and if you try to love them, they will punish you for it.

But I know, I know…

How to avoid them? And how to find the women who aren’t like this?

You have two options:

– Spend years of trial and error, dating bad eggs, missing signs, committing to the wrong women, getting your heart broken, cheated on…

– Spend months with an expert who knows how to adjust your mindset and filters, showing you the way around bad women and orienting you towards the good ones

Both options require you make mistakes. But only the latter one ensures you learn from them quickly… and far less painfully.

Up to you.
